Well, he didn’t know that he was wearing one of his jackets that had three extra blank Pokéballs stuffed down one of its secret pockets, so imagine the surprise when he pawed around in it and found them.[break][break]

“Sweet,” he said with a grin on his face as he continued his little trek around Meteor Falls. He was literally determined to find either a Dragonite or a Noivern, as those were his top priorities—due to them sharing a typing with Flying—but at the same time, he wouldn’t say no to several other draconids that were on his wish list.[break][break]

He was seriously starting to think that there was something out for him again—while he’d managed to get the Altaria traded away for a Bewear, now it was back to square zero, looking for two particular draconids… or several more that were on his wish list.[break][break]

Wouldn’t hurt if I did find any one of them, so… he thought to himself, looking around and making sure that he’d returned to the place he last left off from during his search.

Sure, he’d managed to nab the Altaria—but that was already marked down for a trade that would be going through once he got back to Fortree. This time around, though, he wasn’t expecting to see another Pokémon from home—albeit one of the weirder ones.[break][break]

“Huh, hello there,” he said quietly at the floating Musharna’s direction. He knew that waking one of these up while it was asleep was a generally bad idea, because holy shit it had the potential to spit out nightmares at you. Shaking his head, he skirted around where the Psychic-type was resting, before leaving it alone and continuing deeper into the cave.[break][break]

Would he be able to find some of those Dragon-types he was looking for?[break][break]

Knowing my shit luck, maybe not… he thought as he shook his head and took a look around, hoping that he’d catch sight of something that would tickle his fancy.[break][break]

Like, if it was there, it was definitely there.

Unfortunately it was looking that his luck had taken a turn for the sour. He could only guess what the hell was waiting for him as he walked deeper into the cavern, hoping to secretly find either a Noivern or a Dragonite.[break][break]

…or maybe he wasn’t as ‘worthy’ yet to find one in the wild? How many times did he have to return here just so he could find one himself?[break][break]

Pondering if the decision to go deeper was a good idea, the sounds of humming meditation reached his ears—and he couldn’t help but check out what was making that noise. Walking around a corner, he then saw something that looked… huh.[break][break]

Shaking his head, he left the Medicham alone to its own devices. There wasn’t going to be more violence today, especially since he knew that Carina was sleeping on her favorite perch—his nose.[break][break]

And he didn’t want to interrupt the tiny Pokémon.[break][break]

At least, not yet anyway.

It was going to be another week of insanity.

He wasn’t going to be able to meet the dragons that he was wishing for—instead, another familiar sight would come by his field of vision, seemingly floating in the middle of nothingness and just looking for an excuse to fight.[break][break]

Huh, this wasn’t in my plans, but… he thought, brows furrowing. He didn’t want to leave the place empty-handed, and so decided to get the Frillish. Although he was a bit surprised, this one was blue and not pink.[break][break]

So… so angry, he continued to muse, a hint of a grin growing on his face as he approached it cautiously—before quickly sending out his Salamence to deal with it. As the draconid burst from the beam of red light, he heard the roar shook the cave as Intimidate came into play.[break][break]

“Gabe, end it quickly. But don’t kill it. I’ll be sure to find a use for him,” he said as he tilted his head in the Frillish’s direction. Roaring in the affirmative, the dual-type then charged forward with a Thunder Fang, wanting to finish it as soon as possible.[break][break]

Out of surprise, the Frillish then tried to catch it in the face with a Brine attack, but the electrified fangs had closed around it and was now trying to shake it like a rag doll.[break][break]

“Whoa, whoa, Gabe! Calm down!” he shouted as the Salamence continued to rocket around, holding the now-Paralyzed Frillish in its electrified fangs, before tossing it right at Alexei’s feet.[break][break]

“Gee, Gabe, you could’ve been a little more careful…” he said with a sigh as he then fished out a blank Pokéball and dropped it atop the smaller dual-type’s head.
